Endocator® is the first and only chairside device that detects residual organic debris - invisible to microscopes and radiographs - and delivers a quantitative endoscore in just 10 seconds that lets you know if the root canal is truly clean during endodontic procedures.
Endocator works by causing any remmant bioburden in the root canal to go through a reaction that creates bioluminescence that can be detected by the device. A high score on the Endocator means there is still a high level of debris in the canal and a second debridement may be necessary.
Features include:
- Rapid, reliable assesment: bioluminescence technology detects residual canal contamination for an objective, quantitative cleanliness score
- Increased efficiency: optimize irrigation protocols with measurable verification of a thoroughly clean canal (no more guesswork!)
- Improved confidence: provides visible evidence of canal cleanliness, which can help reduce the likelikhood of root canal retreatment
Easy to use:
- Rinse canal with 1ml of sterile water and aspirate a sample from the root canal back into the syringe
- Inject pea sized amount of aspirated sample into the test swab; activate by inserting and shaking
- Insert test swab into Endocator device and press "Test" - the Endoscore displays in 10 seconds
Score Chart:
- 1-25: Low bioburden
- 26-50: Medium bioburden
- 51-100: High bioburden
